You must be legally capable of entering into an agreement to use InheriBit.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the security of your account
  • providing accurate information
  • ensuring your use complies with applicable laws

What InheriBit provides

InheriBit allows you to:

  • store sensitive information in encrypted form
  • define household members
  • configure access policies
  • enable controlled access to data during emergencies

We provide the system and infrastructure to support this process.

Data ownership and responsibility

You retain full ownership of your data.

We do not claim ownership over:

  • your stored information
  • your documents
  • your account content

You are responsible for:

  • the accuracy of the data you store
  • how you configure access policies
  • who you add to your household

Security model (Important)

InheriBit is designed so that:

  • your data is encrypted before storage
  • we do not have access to readable data
  • access is controlled by your defined policies

Because of this:

  • we cannot recover your data if you lose required credentials
  • we cannot override your access rules

This is an intentional design choice.

Emergency access

InheriBit provides a structured process for emergency access.

This includes:

  • request creation
  • waiting periods
  • policy-based flow
  • verification steps before access is granted

Important:

  • access is not guaranteed
  • access depends on your configuration and system checks
  • we do not manually override rules outside defined processes

Backup and recovery

You may create encrypted backups of your data.

You are responsible for:

  • safely storing any downloaded backups
  • protecting your household password

Important:

  • backups are encrypted
  • they cannot be accessed without completing the required process
  • if required credentials are lost, the data may become permanently inaccessible

Household and access control

You control your household setup.

You are responsible for:

  • choosing trusted members
  • defining access policies
  • updating permissions over time

InheriBit does not verify personal relationships between users.

Notifications

We provide notifications for:

  • access requests
  • system events

We may send multiple notifications to help ensure you are aware of requests.

However:

  • we cannot guarantee delivery of notifications
  • you are responsible for keeping your contact information up to date

Service availability

We aim to provide reliable service.

However, we do not guarantee:

  • uninterrupted access
  • error-free operation
  • instant availability

The service may be updated, modified, or temporarily unavailable.

Limitation of liability

InheriBit is a tool to help manage access to information.

We are not responsible for:

  • incorrect configuration by users
  • loss of access due to forgotten credentials
  • misuse by individuals within your household
  • delays or failures in emergency access caused by external factors

Use of the service is at your own risk.

Important limitations

Please understand:

  • losing your household password may result in permanent data loss
  • access depends on your defined rules
  • the system does not make assumptions beyond your configuration

These are necessary for security and privacy.

Prohibited use

You agree not to use InheriBit for:

  • illegal activities
  • storing harmful or malicious content
  • attempting to bypass security mechanisms
  • abusing the access request system

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Beta status

InheriBit is currently in beta.

This means:

  • features may change
  • issues may exist
  • the system is still being refined

We may update or modify the service based on feedback and testing.

If changes are significant, we will notify users.
